Palestinian support for Nazis casts shadow over Gaza conflict

Hamas prisoners await interrogation. PHOTO: Rapport/for TGIF Edition

Seven years ago, Investigate magazine published a special feature on the origins of the Israel/Palestine conflict:

As tank shells and machine gun rounds rip holes in buildings and people alike, it is easy to point the finger in the Palestine conflict and make moral judgements. But where did the battle really begin? Why is there such enmity between both sides?

Western news reports usually focus on the creation of the Israeli state in 1948 as the catalyst, but increasingly experts are dusting off old news clippings and government reports dating back to the First World War to get a handle on the problem. Why? Because it seems the popular view of heavily-armed Jewish settler/terrorists kicking Palestinians out of their homes in the late 1940s may be only half the story.

It actually traces back to the emergence of two men – one the uncle of current Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, the other regarded as the father of modern Israel…

Arafat was a Nazi BammBamm!

The Grand Mufti of Palestine was another known Nazi and supporter.

Unfortunately a fair percentage of the Arab World during and around WWII were pro Hitler, pro Nazi and Anti-Jew. (Nothings changed much to this day).

The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood was originally setup from memory as pro Nazi organisation.

The Syrian Baath Party was formed along Nazi lines and many ex Nazis and SS officers after the war went to Syria as advisors and trainers to the Syrian Military and Security forces. Syria was a stronghold safehaven for wanted Nazi war criminals in the Middle East.

Hassan al-Banna set up the Muslim Brotherhood in 1928 largely in response to the humiliation of losing the position of the Caliphate after the fall of the Ottoman Empire after WW1. The Ikhwan, as it is also called, has fathered several notable groups, including al-Qaeda and the Hamas.

It should be noted that the Hamas has even incorporated in its founding Charter the statements of the Ikhwan.

It will also be of interest to read the Hamas Charter for oneself. I paste a quote which should clarify why any attempt by Israel for peace with the Hamas is doomed to failure (I posted this also on a leftist blog in the hope that actual facts may educate and stimulate informed discussion. Instead I found that my comment had later been expunged. How very liberal.):~

"The initiatives, the so-called peace solutions, and the international
conferences for resolving the Palestinian problem stand in contradiction to
the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement {Hamas}, for to neglect any part
of Palestine is to neglect part of the Islamic faith. The nationalism of the
Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its [Islamic] faith. It is in the
light of this principle that its members are educated, and they wage jihad
in order to raise the banner of Allah over the homeland. "

So their one and only answer to the "Palestinian problem" is the extermination of the state of Israel, preferably along with every Jew they can find. Any peace agreement is, in their eyes, merely a "tahdi'a", a lull, or in terms of classical Islam, a "hudna" a temporary truce which must last no longer than 10 years before hostilities are recommenced. A hudna is sought only when the Muslims are too weak to pursue hostilities. Islam is in a permanent state of war with the world (as distinct to constant fighting) therefore cessation of hostilities is only a tactical means to an end.

Therefore, contrary to an article I read recently in a NZ newspaper, it may be plainly seen that the Hamas sees itself in exactly the same light as that other Ikhwan spawn al-Qaeda: in a Holy War with the infidel for the supremacy of Islam. The Hamas' war is primarily for Israel, which is seen by all strict Muslims as Islam's first front in the global jihad, but rest assured, should Israel fall, they will turn their eyes upon us.

The entire Hamas founding document, their Charter, may be read here:~

It is of course a tragedy that Palestinian civilians are dying in the fighting, as it is also a tragedy that Jewish civilians have died in the last decade of rocket attacks by the Hamas upon Israel. However, the Palestinians seem to me to be in the same category as German civilians at the close of WW2 in that their chosen leadership brought about their sufferring while those who conquer them merely wish to return home in peace, not obliterate them.

I found the Investigate article excellent apart from a neglect of the theological roots of Islamic antisemitism, which primarily focus of the condemnation within the Qur'an and the sunna of the Jews as a race - Allah via his prophet has decreed upon them an eternal curse you see, so of course they should be abased in every way - but then the fact that a major world religion has at its heart a genocidal loathing of another religion was probably rightly judged as being too much for the average person to swallow and would detract from the thrust of the argument.

Al-Husseini was simply raised as a strict Muslim and so inherited a set of beliefs regarding the Jews which were entirely compatible with the Hitler Movement's. Hitler & the Mufti were quite happy to use each other for a common end.

What a disgrace that a British officer conspired with this barbarian against the Jews! A world run according to the beliefs of the Jews who be a good one for all non-Jews. The same cannot be said of a world run according to the revelation of Muhammad.

Peace can only be achieved by living in peace. For this to occur Hamas needs to leave the Gaza Strip as their intentions will never bring peace. Then I am hopeful that Palestinians and Israelies will then be able to stop burying those whose lives have been taken due to the unaccceptance of who your neighbour is globaly.

Hmm what happened to the Arab uni group in NZ?

Hmmm - Nice fotos Ian!

Well done!

Of Interest.

That photo of Haj Armin reviewing those Nazi troops.

Those Nazi troops were actually the 'notorious' Bosnian Muslim SS Division. The most 'brutual' SS Division of the lot!

Haj Armin was the main 'founder/recruiter' for the division.

The SS division's actions were so brutual, it even 'sickened' the officers of some the other German SS units who happened to see their 'handywork' and that's saying something!

Just found this. The splendid Melanie Phillips on Israel:~

"The issue of Israel sits at the very apex of the fight to defend civilisation. Those who wish to destroy western civilisation need to destroy the Jews, whose moral precepts formed its foundation stones. The deranged hatred of the Jews lies at the core of the Islamists’ hatred of America, the ‘infidel’ west and modernity, and is the reason why they wish to destroy Israel. Unless people in the west understand that Israel’s fight is their own fight, they will be on the wrong side of the war to defend not just the west but civilisation in general.
...
Of course, [Islamist] arguments are -- tragically, appallingly -- replicated in large measure amongst the British intelligentsia, media and indeed members of the government itself and the broad political class. Indeed, this is a far, far wider problem than one not-so-reformed-after-all Islamic extremist [ie. Ed Husain]. It is a profound moral corruption that has infected the British body politic. The fact that so many among Britain’s educated class think like this means that they too are on the wrong side in the great battle to defend civilisation. And it’s not just Israel that in their moral confusion they are thus preparing to throw to the Islamist wolves. It is their own society too."

The Jews, America (what's left after they take out the vanguard of the West) - did he leave out anything the Nazis also hated?

Good interview with Caroline Glick and Gershon Baskin. Glick is a journalist who has been a negotiator for Israel with the Palestinians, Baskin is co-CEO of a group to build understanding between Israel & Palestine. Some genuine insights in the 25 minute interview.

What do you make of the Williamson controversy?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/30/AR2009013003431.html

Williamson apologises for embarrassment etc, but does not retract his stated position - that of being a Holocaust denier.

Given the close relationship between god and pope, did they both get it right on this occasion?
