It's official...for those interested Buckingham Palace has confirmed the engagement of Prince William and long time girlfriend Kate Middleton, next year.
"The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton," the statement said.
"The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.
"Prince William and Miss Middleton became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya.
"Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton's father.
"Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.

About time I suppose? Never know what's behind it all but he had to marry someone I guess :)

THE RING AND SENTIMENT OF GIVING HIS MOTHER'S RING TO HER IS JUST BEAUTIFUL,
BUT.....THIS IS ABOUT THEIR FUTURE, AND AS MAN AND WIFE, JUST THEM,BETWEEN
THEM...SHE DESERVED TO PICK HER OWN RING, FROM THE JEWELERS, JUST AS DIANA
DID HERS...

She must be boring enough to marry Prince William. Apparently he takes after his father Prince Charles, so no surprise there.
She's good looking yeah, but all such a yawn-fest. Anyone for a hangi Prince William; with beautiful NZ meat, pork and lamb, etc? (yum)?
"Oh no" he says: "I prefer salmon instead. My dietitian tells me so". Jeez talk about posh.

Don't worry about the economics. This wedding will generate huge revenue for the UK.
It is only fools like New Zealanders that will throw away foreign currency on tea towels, mugs, tee shirts and all the other collateral. Not to mention the tourists who will jostle to be in the front row outside the Buckingham House fence!

I wonder if there will be a sequel to the fabulous booklet "Not the Royal Wedding" that I picked up in the UK at the time of his dad's wedding. I recall NZ gave the couple a very boring book of NZ photographs. Presumably the Greens will suggest a walking holiday in Wales as a suitable honeymoon.

Well of course Prince Charles is a green and he may well suggest that!

At last! Prince Charles is now getting married! Her fiancé looks charming, and the two of them look good together. Weddings are so into these days. Could this be a sign? My girlfriend and I have been together for five years now. And I do certainly feel that I wanna be with her for the rest of my life. What if I propose to her? Will she accept it? Guess, I should now find some engagement rings (Calgary-based) for her. I know that she's been dreaming to have those diamond rings (Calgary) all her life. But I hope she'll accept my proposal.
