Nothing compared to the biggest photo-op PM we've ever had. Mr Goff is gritty and real compared to the shiny, happy, wavey, look at me, photo-mad, celebrity crazed, PM, making a mockery of the top job!!!
(bring back the old Investigate magazine, Ian, we have enough Women Weekly type mags already. You used to write really good, long, insightful articles, I really miss these, just too light and fluffy nowadays...)

Goff and Key Both need a GOOD kick up the backside.
Since Both Labour and National have been incompetent in making sure NZ as a maritime nation has had adequate equipment and a suitable vessel equipped to deal with such a situation as a large oilspill, etc.

'Course it was a photo op. For goodness sake, if he'd come to the beach to do a day's work, would he have worn shiny shoes and a nice suit? It was the attempt to paint it as something else which engendered the ridicule.

Photo opportunities are part of the round for leaders of political parties. I agree with Gibson that John Key is the master of it.
Even Don Brash tried it!
