I used to work on the volunteer ambulance.

I KNOW they couldn't cope with a major incident.

Unless you call 'Give hime a shot of morphine and roll him into the corner' proper treatment...

This claim is laughable.

People today have no idea how difficult it would be dealing with a disaster like a big Wellington earthquake for example. You will need to survive (or not)on your own for weeks. Serious injuries will result in many deaths due to resources being swamped.
