"In fact, Helena, Muldoon was a bully. You're probably pining for Margaret Thatcher as well."

Your AGW Fraud Mate Al Gore is a known Bully aswell!

In my view, both Australia and the USA are blessed and doing well because they have self-confessed Christian leaders. You can bandy the word 'fundamentalist' around all you like along with right wing and extreme, does not worry me, they are merely labels. I am a fundamentalist Christian rather than a liberal one, because the absolute truth of the Bible rings true. Still like Muldoon, he was no more a bully than a few other of our former PM's, and he cared about ordinary people he really did. Yep, Thatcher too was good at her job.

Thatcher was one of the few UK PMs on the whole who didn't like double standards and hypocrisy when it came to a number of international issues.

If she was still the UK PM. AGW pseudo-science /political propaganda issues would likely end up in the Prime Ministers rubbish bin. Where they rightly so belong!

I wouldn't want to live in the UK. If the average Family there could end up paying an extra $27000 in Climate Change taxes!! Far higher than what the current UK Govt originally admitted.

The well-placed and well-connected are set to make trillions off new climate bill; economic collapse about to accelerate.

The phony solution is the "Clean Energy" part of the Clean Energy and Security Act. What feelgood platitudes about pumping billions of dollars into solar, wind and alternative energy projects obscure is that throwing money hand over fist at inherently flawed technologies will not actually make them work, nor will it make the money-hungry charlatans who promote them any more honest. Just ask Albert Lanier. He's a freelance journalist who has been writing a series of articles about First Wind, a Massachusetts-based wind developer that is currently being investigated by the New York Attorney General's office. In a recent interview with The Corbett Report he revealed how the Mafia has been linked to the Italian wind farm industry, which might say more about the industry than it does about the mob.

For those who cannot be convinced to consider an issue until it affects them personally, rest assured this draconian new legislation will reach into every American citizen's living room...literally. As Congressman Steve Scalise has already pointed out, this "climate bill" contains within it a new national building code that supersedes all existing state codes. If enacted, this legislation will create an entirely new class of federally-funded green brigades with the mandate to perform house-to-house inspections to look for violations of this new "green" building code. They would even be able to impose civil penalties for code violations (like having the wrong windows or lightbulbs). Watch Congressman Scalise's comments in the player below:

A pipedream of six turbines a day until 2020
Lord Hunt has made one of the most absurd claims that can ever have been uttered by a British minister, writes Christopher Booker.

Last Wednesday, two days before our Climate Change Secretary, Ed Miliband, told us that motorists could help save the planet by changing more quickly to a lower gear, his underling Lord Hunt made one of the most absurd claims that can ever have been uttered by a British minister. Solemnly reported by the media, he said that by 2020 he hopes to see thousands more wind turbines round Britain's coasts, capable of producing '25 gigawatts (GW)" of electricity, enough to meet "more than a quarter of the UK's electricity needs".

In three ways this was remarkable. First, as most of us know by now, thanks to the intermittency of the wind, the actual output from 25GW of turbine capacity would only average out at 7.5GW. Since Britain's peak demand is 56GW, Lord Hunt's turbines would meet barely a seventh of our needs, just over half what he claims.

Off topic I know, but you said:
" I do not believe this of Sarah Palin. Could she really be this stupid?"

May be just as well you did not believe it - it's starting to look like it might have been a media beat-up! :-D

I think you are right RobK.

I don't think Palin has a clue about what she has done or what she is doing. This journalist agrees with me:

We know the science fraud Globull Warming is all about this!

The World Leaders at the G8 summit are a pack of Bozos, liars, frauds and puppets of the UN if they think they can keep world temperatures from heating by 2C. Once again that figure is another fantasyland science fiction computer model!

Gore: U.S. Climate Bill Will Help Bring About 'Global Governance'

Former Vice President Al Gore declared that the Congressional climate bill will help bring about “global governance.”

“I bring you good news from the U.S., “Gore said on July 7, 2009 in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by UK Times.

“Just two weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate bill,” Gore said, noting it was “very much a step in the right direction.” President Obama has pushed for the passage of the bill in the Senate and attended a G8 summit this week where he agreed to attempt to keep the Earth's temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees C.
