Falafulu Fisi

AFAIK, Rajendra Pachauri is not a climate scientist nor even a physicist. Why is he on the IPCC? Warmists always have a go at skeptics saying that they're not (climate) scientists but at the same time, warmists don't look in the mirror and ask the same question about Gavin Schmidt and Rajendra Pachauri.

Well said. Falafulu F.

Al Gore is another who isn't a climate scientist. He shares the Nobel Peace Prize with Pachauri.

They're both birds of a feather. Crooks, frauds and the ultimate in hypocrites.

What science does Gore or Pachauri personally claim to contribute to the debate?

Ian always calls Pachauri a 'train engineer'. But that's extremely disingenuous (as usual). Yes he received training at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and then worked there for a short time. But he did a significant number of things (and gained significantly more qualifications) elsewhere afterwards.
It would be equally disingenuous to call him a Big Oil Man, as he was on the Board of Directors of the Indian Oil Corporation from January 1999 to September 2003. Doesn't fit the narrative though, does it....

Dr Pachauri has brought immense pride to every Indian by taking the issue of climate change to an international audience. He and his organization are taking strategic steps to help India reduce its greenhouse emissions. At this critical juncture for humanity, we need the expert knowledge of such committed Indians. Those intend to sully him should use their efforts to fight climate change instead.
