It sure must be cold in Montana if you are dressed for New South Wales

Here's a sad tale of a young German who who wanted  to join his girlfriend, Laura,  in Sydney for a four week New Year holiday .   

Tobi Gutt being a modern internet savvy type  booked the trip for himself via the internet.

But it wasn't until he found himself in Billings, Montana  that he realized he had made a terrible mistake.

It turns out that he had entered 'Sidney' as opposed to 'Sydney' as his final destination. Sidney happens to be a very small oil town in Montana.  And as you surely know it is winter in Montana  and Montana winters are notoriously cold.   Meanwhile our poor lost traveler  only had clothing appropriate for the NSW summer with him.

It took three days but his parents and friends raised  enough money to get him ticket out of Billings  and back on track to Australia.

Where hopefully he will have a Happy New Year as will all of you.
